CANAL+ Acquires Exclusive Rights to Six Senegalese Wrestling Events Across Sub-Saharan Africa

African Film Press — October 25, 2026

CANAL+ has secured exclusive broadcasting rights to six major Senegalese wrestling events for the 2026–2027 season under an agreement with audiovisual production company BEUZ PRO. Announced on 23 October 2026, the deal covers more than 40 territories across French-, English- and Portuguese-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa.

The events will be broadcast live in French and Wolof on CANAL+SPORT channels and in English on SUPERSPORT, extending the sport’s television distribution across the region. The schedule begins on 29 November 2026 with "The Verdict," featuring Ada Fass against Balla Gaye 2, followed by "The Royal Clash" between Sa Thiès and Siteu on 3 January 2027. "The Fight of the Millennium," featuring Franc against Reug Reug, is scheduled for 7 February 2027.

On 4 April 2027, "The Independence Derby" will feature two bouts: Ama Baldé against Lac de Guiers 2 and Eumeu Sène against Jackson. Two additional events are planned for June and July 2027, with details yet to be announced.

The six events will be organized by Al Bourakh Events and Jambaar Productions, two promoters active in Senegalese wrestling, with BEUZ PRO handling production. The agreement follows CANAL+SPORT 1’s previous broadcast of "The Royal Clash" in April 2026. CANAL+ Africa CEO David Mignot said the partnership forms part of the company’s efforts to expand its African programming portfolio and increase the regional visibility of Senegalese wrestling.
