CNN International Commercial (CNNIC), the commercial arm of CNN International, and Dangote Industries Limited, the Nigeria-based industrial conglomerate founded by Aliko Dangote, have announced a multiyear media and events partnership centered on African business and industry.
The agreement includes Dangote’s sponsorship of "Africa Inc.," a new half-hour CNN International series hosted by Nigerian journalist Adefemi Akinsanya. The program will cover African companies working across sectors including technology, hospitality, manufacturing and entertainment.
"Africa Inc." will premiere on 29 August 2026, with four additional episodes scheduled across the rest of 2026 and into 2027. CNN will also produce twice-monthly "Africa Inc." segments for CNN International, alongside digital and social coverage on CNN.com.
The partnership also includes "Africa First," a branded-content series produced by CNNIC’s in-house Create studio. The campaign will run across CNN International, CNN.com, CNN Arabic and CNN Business social channels, with selected "Africa First" content also distributed on CNN’s U.S. television and digital platforms.
Dangote Industries Limited will additionally sponsor three editions of CNN’s Global Perspectives events series over the next 12 months.
