Gabès Cinéma Fen, a cinema festival held in the southern Tunisian city of Gabès, shared this meditative five-minute look back at its 2025 edition, ahead of its 8th edition, which is scheduled to run from April 26 to May 2, 2026.

In the lead-up to this year's festival, the team has been releasing parts of its 2026 public identity, including the official poster, introductions to the festival's four main sections — Cinema, Video Art, XR, and Art & Pensée — and an open call for a film criticism workshop led by Tunisian critic and academic Tahar Chikhaoui.

Tunisian actress, director, and producer Afef Ben Mahmoud serves as festival director and also leads the Cinema section, alongside Chaima Laabidi, responsible for short films and section coordination, and Rabeb Mbarki, who oversees "Ciné-Terre."

The Video Art section is led by Fatma Kilani and Malek Gnaoui. The XR section is under the artistic direction of Mohamed Arbi Soualhia.

The full 2026 programme will be announced soon.
