Mozambican director Yusson Congolo and MPAMA Produções are set to premiere O Pacto: Último Desejo (The Pact: Final Wish) on March 26, 2026, at 18:00 at Cine Scala in Maputo, Mozambique.
The film is described as a drama-thriller with supernatural elements rooted in African belief systems. The story follows Zaki, played by Acácio Pentium. After his death, he is forced to return to the world of the living to fulfill his mother's final wish. To complete that task, he needs help, and he meets Kwanja, played by Candy Dauce — a lonely young woman trying to escape her father, who is forcing her into a marriage with a man she does not love.
Zaki and Kwanja come from opposite sides of life and death, but they come to depend on each other as they each try to resolve their own conflict before time runs out.
