Pathé Touch Afrique has announced a 25 September 2026 theatrical release for “The Legend of the Vagabond Queen of Lagos” in francophone African countries. Specific countries, cities and cinemas have yet to be confirmed.
Directed by Nigeria’s Agbajowo Collective, the 101-minute feature follows Jawu, a young mother living in a waterfront community in Lagos who becomes involved in a fight against forced eviction and redevelopment. The film had its world premiere in the Centrepiece section of the Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September 2024.
