SICA 2026 was officially launched in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, ahead of its November dates.
The fourth edition of SICA — the Salon international du contenu audiovisuel, or International Audiovisual Content Fair — will take place from 26–28 November 2026 in Abidjan, the country's main commercial city.
SICA brings together producers, broadcasters, creators, public institutions, and other professionals working in film, television, and audiovisual content.
The 2026 theme is "Économie des contenus et diplomatie culturelle : mieux structurer l'industrie audiovisuelle et cinématographique africaine," which means "Content economy and cultural diplomacy: better structuring Africa's audiovisual and film sectors."
At the 7 May 2026 launch at Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, Côte d'Ivoire's government presented audiovisual content as part of the country's economic and cultural strategy.
Official figures shared at the launch said Ivorian cinemas recorded more than 400,000 admissions in 2025, generating revenue of more than 1.5 billion West African CFA francs (about $2.69 million USD).
For African and diaspora producers, broadcasters, and screen-sector companies, the November gathering is worth tracking for financing, production support, co-production activity, and broadcaster participation.
